To format for a PC: Insert the drive in the Mac and start Disk Utility (Utilities folder). The drive is probably now formatted for a Mac only file system.ExFAT is the ideal file system for USB flash drives. It is the most compatible file system for older/modern computers (PC and Mac) plus gaming consoles and other devices with a USB port. Step 4: If you haven’t already plugged in your USB flash drive in to your Mac, please do so now before going on to Step 5.Most USB flash drives will have a FAT32 file system out-of-box.
